Electrical Engineer

Promark International is a leader in providing electronic flash lighting solutions to the photographic industry. We design, manufacture, and market a variety of electronic flash equipment and related products used by amateur and professional photographers.
Responsibilities:
-Design and develop electronic flash equipment including performance specifications and architecture, selecting electronic components, circuit design, PCB layout, and system prototyping.
-Provide existing product line support, new product introductions, and transfer from the development laboratory to the manufacturing and operations teams.
-Execute and document product engineering tasks, such as performance and reliability testing, electrical testing, and troubleshooting/debugging of prototype products.
Requirements:
-Seven years related experience in electronic design and development with at least a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
-Competency in power electronics and control – design, analysis, bread boarding and testing.
-Working knowledge of high-voltage power supplies is desirable.
-Proficiency in firmware development for embedded control products.
-Experience developing embedded control systems in C required.
-Knowledge of mechanical design and familiarity with UL certification process.
-Proficiency in product development processes.
-Requires good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a variety of team environments.
-Demonstrating creativity to support innovation & technology development.
-Interfacing with cross-functional departments: marketing, manufacturing, quality and senior management, and external customers.
-Supporting continuous improvement of products and processes.
-Must be a proactive self-starter.
-Ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Must be able to work multiple projects simultaneously.
