Product Design & Development of LED power supplies and controls for Solid State Lighting applications. This entails electrical design of the LED drive circuits for AC or DC input, voltage-controlled or current-controlled systems, and feedback systems for color control. Manage product development from concept through launch with cross-functional global team. Support innovation & advanced technology development.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Demonstrated competencies in power electronics, analog design & feedback control - design, analysis, breadboarding and testing
2. In-depth working knowledge of Lighting Electronics, Solid State Lighting systems & LEDS, in particular, is a necessity.
3. Proficiency in micro-controller based systems - hardware & software design and implementation.
4. Develops comprehensive approaches to meeting technical objectives, and performs product design and development with a high degree of independence.
5. Demonstrates creativity to support innovation & technology development.
6. Performs/Supports qualification tests related to Electrical, Thermal, EMC, Environmental requirements. Strong understanding of high frequency pcb layout requirements.
7. Performs competitive benchmarking in conjunction with product management.
8. Manages product development process from concept through launch
9. Strong oral/written communication & project leadership skills, and work in global team environments within OSRAM
10.Supports cross-functional departments - marketing, manufacturing, quality, and interfaces with external customers
11.Participates in standardization/regulatory activities, such as ANSI,DOE.

BS Eng and 6+ years of experience in the following or MS/PhD Eng and 4+ years of experience in the following: Power Electronics, Analog/Digital Design, Micro-controller based designs.

Must have significant experience in project leadership.
Must have strong oral/written communication skills.
